Lord Jesus Christ, you told your disciples that You came to bring life, life in abundance. We rely on Your promises as we try each day to live as You would have us do with compassion, and with faith, hope and love.

O Lord, when Your great gift of life draws to a close, we are even more mindful of Your loving Father in Heaven. So many people we have loved during this life have already entered into that promise. Be merciful to them, Lord, in Your great mercy.

Welcome home all those who have gone before in faith especially for whom we now pray:

For we do believe in Your holy Catholic Chruch; we treasure Your presence in the Holy Eucharist and the other Sacraments.

We believe in the Communion of Saints; we revere the Blessed Virgin Mary and all those holy women and men who show us the way to live as good Christians.

We believe in the Forgiveness of Sins; we are mindful of Your forgiveness as we forgive others each day.

We believe in the Resurrection of the Body; we keep ever in mind Your sacred Passion, Death and Resurrection.

And we believe in Life Everlasting, which You have promised us.
